In response, the Oscar-winning actor is taking "proactive measures to deal with this for his own well-being and the well-being of his family," publicist Mara Buxbaum said Wednesday.

The statement comes in the wake of a National Enquirer cover story claiming the 54-year-old Williams recently checked into a rehab facility in Oregon run by the famed Hazelden program.
